Southern Grampians Child and Family Network

If you’re a professional working with children and families within the Shire, we welcome you to join our Southern Grampians Child and Family Network. It’s an excellent opportunity to meet for professional development, information, idea-sharing and discussion on new Government policy directions. Furthermore, being part of this network strengthens the quality of child and family services throughout our community.

Each time new elements of the National Early Childhood Reform Agenda are being rolled out, our Child and Family Network will provide the opportunity for you and other professionals in this field to help one another implement the changes into your services.

Examples of topics covered include:

  • Paediatric occupational therapy availability
  • Transition to school
  • Developmental play-based curriculum
  • Working with children who have hearing and visual impairments
  • Fine motor development
  • Counselling services for young children availability
  • GenR8 Change

Each Child and Family Network meeting will be held at a different location in Hamilton, allowing you to check out a range of service facilities. These may include schools, kindergartens, health and community or council locations. Meetings are held once per term between 4.30pm to 6.00pm, usually on a Thursday.
